Plans for Ash Removal in the wooded area adjacent to 9, 11 and 15 Beaumont Road

Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) has had a devastating effect in Toronto resulting in thousands of ash trees dying. In order to keep streets, parks and neighbouring properties safe, Urban Forestry conducts removals of trees that are dead or dying due to EAB.
The Transportation Right-of-Way and parkland adjacent to 9, 11 and 15 Beaumont Road contains a wooded ravine area which has been identified as a priority site for ash tree removals in order to mitigate potentially hazardous trees. Thirteen (13) trees have been marked for removal in this area which is identified by the red lines on the map below. Tree removals are expected to begin on Monday, April 18, 2016, and will to take up to one week to complete. Tree removal activities will occur between the hours of 8:00 am and 2:00 pm, Monday to Friday. Because large, specialized equipment is required on this site, access may be restricted at certain times.
