Food trucks still face hurdles at city hall

June 22, 2012, The Star. As Toronto ponders adding fruits and vegetables to the menu of street food carts, a proposal to expand gourmet food trucks is stuck in neutral. Councillor Adam Vaughan wants to allow food trucks to set up in commercial downtown parking lots, but city council referred his request back to executive committee, which 10 days ago sent it back to staff.
